Wiser Lake http://www.clementstevens.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=160:wiser-lake&catid=13&Itemid=32 I have often contemplated how I might capture this morning scene over Wiser Lake. This morning proved to be the perfect conditions, with a crunch of frost beneath the tripod, freezing temperatures and clear skies made for a great image making opportunity. As the sun crept up the peaks backside, the sky changed colors with an amazing speed, hues of magenta and sweet golden light danced delighfully through the scene. As if on que, Trumpeter swans began to blanket the sky heading out to thier morning fields, all coming together for what turned out to be a wonderful sunrise.  Although it is impossible to capture all that happened, the attempt makes me giddy. The mountains in view here are Mount Baker on the left, to the right are The Sisters. The Sisters include from left to right, North Twin Sister, South Twin Sister, Skookum Peak, Hayden and Little Sister and finally Twin Crest Peak. I have been photographing these mountains now for a couple of yearsand I must say, they continue to humble me.

The natural world in so magnificent, Man's quest to duplicate what appears in nature always fails. Birds are a prime example, the beauty that is derrived from these creatures can never be duplicated. Grateful.

October on the Wenatchee http://www.clementstevens.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=155:october-on-the-wenatchee&catid=13&Itemid=32 Most weekends find me out scouting for "meaningful images" that speak to the seasons of our "Life Through the Lens". I found this image most interesting because it expresses the color changes that come with fall, as well as to the calm rivers that follow a summer of snow melt. The cycle continues with the changing of the seasons, the snows will come and we will have a wonderful new canvas for expressing our "appreciation for the world around us". An "Attitude of Gratitude" makes the heart warm. I am grateful.

Fall in Washington http://www.clementstevens.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=151:fall-in-washington&catid=13&Itemid=32 I consider myself so very lucky to experience this Fall in Washington, an amazing place for all seasons. For some reason I thought that I needed to travel to some exotic place to witness the beauty of Fall. WOW was I mistaken, I spent the last couple of weeks looking for images of Fall. Nature's color and beauty are ubiquitous here.
